A large hallway opens into the dining room, with a dining table and decorative prints; an open brick archway leads one into the sitting room, a wonderful explosion of patterns in shades of green and rust. Above the three-seater sofa a small alcove resembling a window looks out onto an imaginary Tuscan landscape, painted in trompe l'oeil. Another sofa, four armchairs and some side tables complete the furniture. The room opens onto a terrace with table and chairs. The master bedroom has a king-sized double bed, period furniture and a large walk-in wardrobe; adjacent to the bedroom is the bathroom with tub and shower. The two further bedrooms both have twin beds; each room has a spacious wardrobe and pretty painted furniture as well as exquisite furnishing fabrics. There are two bathrooms one with tub and another with shower. The kitchen is spacious and complete with all modern requisites. The apartment has an armored door, independent heating, bell and buzzer, telephone (hi speed internet), air conditioning, satellite TV, 4-burner gas stove, oven, fridge/freezer, crockery, two sets of linen and towels. The apartment is served by a lift and has a daytime porter service.

Palazzo Rimbotti dates back to the 14th century, at a time when Florence was beginning to expand beyond its original Roman centre. Compared to the Via delle Belle Donne, Via Tornabuoni and Piazza Antinori were then parallel side streets leading out towards the city’s exits. It was only later, towards the mid 15th century, that Via Tornabuoni and Piazza Antinori were expanded and became the place where rich Florentines bought and refurbished large buildings to turn them into stately homes. Throughout the centuries, Palazzo Rimbotti was extensively remodelled, acquiring its present day aspect around the mid 18th century. The apartment is spacious and luminous and decorated with great taste and creativity. The ensemble gives the visitor a sense of joy, warmth and luxury; the large terrace overlooking the roofs and the hills surrounding the city gives the finishing touch for an unforgettable stay.
