Villa Contignano is situated on a dramatic hilltop, overlooking the rolling hills of the Val d'Orcia near Contignano. It has been tastefully restored: all the exterior stone has been restored, radiant heating has been installed in the floors and a stunning swimming pool installed. The furnishings have been hand-selected by the owner's wife, an interior designer.
The house has a huge exterior stone staircase leading to the first floor. The first floor may also be reached by an internal staircase. Two stone-paved patios flank the external staircase. One is an outdoor dining area with a large built-in barbecue. Beyond is the infinity pool (4 meters wide and 20 meters long). Positioned to the side of the swimming pool is a large hot tub for eight.
