Villa Romantica is an example of how history becomes part of our modern lives. Originally built upon remains of a Roman Tower, now incorporated in its walls, this villa during the centuries was enriched with architectural and structural elements following the growing social importance of the family who owned it.
Set near the archaeological area of San Polo (where some important Etruscan pieces such as a marble arch and some granite columns have been found) and the 16th century Sanctuary of Madonna del Giuncheto, where it is said that by drinking from a source, new mothers with no milk would start being able to breast feed.
The area is several kilometres from Arezzo and has plenty of olive groves and vineyards.
The villa is surrounded by a peaceful garden with a swimming pool and a fountain where a shrewd Renaissance putto plays with the Triton pushing out jets of water that fall with a gentle sound on the water.
In the garden one can be captured by the scent of lemon trees, the beauty of hydrangeas and over 400 roses.
